Your brain is surrounded by your hard skull bones.It and your spinal cord are protected by a tough cover and by a special fluid that acts like a cushion agains shock. The largest part of your brain, the cerebrum , has over ten  billon neurons .A deep groove separates the right half, or hemisphere, from the left .
